Additional services for domestic Post Express items

If the recipient of your express item only available on business days between 7:00 and 10:00 a.m.? In this case, we recommend using this additional service to have your Post Express item delivered on the business day after posting by 10:00 a.m. at the latest. You can post your item at any Österreichische Post service location. This service is available for Post Express items sent to all regional capitals.

Post Express also works weekends. Upon request by the sender, we will deliver Post Express items sent to regional capitals in Austria or selected postcode areas by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday if posted on Friday (business day).

Upon request by the sender, we will deliver Post Express items to the recipient only after verifying their identity. These items can be posted at any Österreichische Post service location. This service is available for all destinations in Austria.

With our sender information service, the sender will be notified via e-mail or text message as soon as the Post Express item has been delivered to the recipient. This sevice is free of charge.

The item will only be delivered to the recipient if they pay the amount of money indicated by the sender. Österreichische Post will then transfer the money to an account defined by the sender. (This service is available throughout Austria.)

Your valuables are in excellent hands with us. Insured items that include cash, cheques, securities, credit or debit cards, jewellery, precious metals, gems, etc. as well as any other content worth more than EUR 1,500 are shipped with special supervision.

The maximum value per item is EUR 10,000.

If the value is EUR 1,500 or higher, please seal your item.

If the Post Express item is fragile or sensitive to shock, please affix the "fragile" sticker. Such Post Express items are handled with special care and are sorted and distributed manually.
