Commemorative stamp 2025 Day of Stamps
EN
In recent years, the commemorative stamps issued for the Day of Stamps have focused on Austrian Post’s commitment to electric mobility.
This year’s issue brings the topic up to the present day and concludes the series. With the recent addition of a new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter, Austrian Post has reached a milestone of 5,000 electric vehicles. Around half of the delivery fleet now runs on electric power, and the goal is to achieve nationwide, CO₂-free last-mile delivery by 2030. In addition to the e-vehicle, the stamp also features a definitive stamp from the 2012 “Art Museums” series. It depicts the Women’s Museum Hittisau in Vorarlberg, Austria’s only museum dedicated to women. The distinctive building was designed by the architecture firm Cukrowicz Nachbaur Architekten and opened in 2000. The museum is dedicated to showcasing women’s cultural achievements and engaging with history from a female perspective.
