CV Georg Pölzl
Georg Pölzl was born in Graz on 24 April 1957 and studied oil engineering at the University of Leoben. From 1987 to 1993, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. He then moved to the Management Board of the mechanical and plant engineering company Binder+Co AG. Georg Pölzl then managed max.mobil, Austria's first private mobile phone provider, for a total of nine years, with which he completed the full takeover by T-Mobile in 2002. He then moved to Germany, where he worked as a special representative of the Management Board of Deutsche Telekom and most recently as Spokesman of the Management Board of T-Mobile Deutschland. Georg Pölzl has been Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of Austrian Post since 1 October 2009.
