CV, Peter Umundum
Peter Umundum was born in Knittelfeld on 20 February 1964 and studied technical mathematics/computer science at Graz University of Technology. He began his professional career in 1988 at Steierbrau AG, the predecessor of Brau Union AG, where he took over as head of the organisation and IT department at the age of 27. In 1994, he moved to Styria Medien AG as Head of IT and built up the online business. In 1996, he became Managing Director of the subsidiary Media Consult Austria GmbH. In 1999 Peter Umundum was co-founder and managing director of the delivery service redmail and was involved in the market entry of the Styria Group in Croatia. In 2001, Peter Umundum was entrusted with the management of the daily newspaper ‘Die Presse’ and in 2003 with the management of the daily newspaper ‘Kleine Zeitung’. During this time, he was also a board member of the Austria Presse Agentur (APA), the Verband Österreichischer Zeitungen (VÖZ) and the Österreichische Auflagenkontrolle (ÖAK). In 2005, Peter Umundum moved to Austrian Post as a co-director of the Mail Division and has been responsible for the Parcel & Logistics Division since 2011.
