Federal Economic Chamber
Austria's Economic Chambers represent the interests of businesses, promote economic activity and offer a wide range of services. They assist entrepreneurs in Austria with their expertise, support future-oriented development and play an active role in shaping economic conditions in Austria.
The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber has been strongly supporting and promoting the Österreichische Post Partnership initiative since the very beginning. With this initia-tive, Austrian businesses, mostly retailers, throughout the country make a major contri-bution to the provision of services and products on a local level. For the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the fact that its members have the option of providing postal ser-vices is a win-win situation: it ensures the provision of postal services for the local popu-lation, Österreichische Post Partners benefit from additional clients and earnings and Österreichische Post gets a competitive edge. The existing roughly 1,200 partnership go to show that providing postal services is an achievable goal.
For retailers, partnerships with Österreichische Post can translate into many benefits: they can build an additional income source in difficult times without neglecting their core business and ultimately generate additional revenue. Offering postal services can also be a competitive advantage over competitors and increase customer frequency.
Peter Buchmüller, President of the Federal Division:
"Clients especially appreciate retailers as Österreichische Post Partners, as evidenced by the fact that retailers account for roughly two thirds of Österreichische Post Partners in Austria. The Österreichische Post Partnership concepts places the needs of consumers at the heart of all efforts and meets their demands for good accessibility and better opening hours at Österreichische Post service locations. Österreichische Post Partners, who offer postal services in addition to their core business, are the perfect answer to the challeng-es of our time."
The nine regional Economic Chambers are in charge of direct member contact and re-gional affairs, while the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber is responsible for general questions about Österreichische Post Partnerships and the framework agreement.
