At Österreichische Post, we take action to improve the carbon footprint of our pro-cesses, which ultimately reduces our clients' carbon footprint. Our calculations in-cluding operational savings as well as the climate projects we support are audited by TÜV AUSTRIA. In addition, voluntary CO2 certificates are subject to internationally recognised standards, e.g., certificates related to the Kyoto Protocol. Our CO2-NEUTRAL DELIVERY is not a short-term initiative, but a sustainable one that we are committed to for the long haul.
CO2-neutral delivery does not entail any additional costs for clients of Öster-reichische Post. Both business and private clients can trust that delivery of their items is done in a CO2-neutral process.
Quality assurance is our number one priority for all action taken as part of this initia-tive. This means that we only implement CO2 reduction actions that do not jeopard-ise our high quality standard and that create added value for our clients. Practically speaking, nothing changes for our clients, except that there will be CO2-neutral de-livery for all items they post and receive in Austria, which reduces their carbon foot-print.

E-mobility technology is still evolving. At Österreichische Post, we would like to ac-tively shape and support this process. It is too soon to switch our entire vehicle fleet to electric cars because these technologies have not been sufficiently tested for postal operations.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is released, among others, during the combustion of fossil energy sources (transport, heating, energy generation, manufacturing) and remains in the atmosphere for an average of 120 years. Carbon dioxide accounts for approx-imately 60% of the additional human-made greenhouse effect. This greenhouse effect results in global warming, which affects the delicate balance between climate, oceans, and vegetation. Only CO2 that cannot be recaptured naturally as part of the carbon cycle is relevant for the climate. Therefore, carbon dioxide exhaled by hu-mans is not a problem, while CO2 from fossil sources has a negative impact on the greenhouse effect.
At Österreichische Post, we are well aware of our responsibility towards the climate and we want to take action. In addition, this initiative is also testament to our con-sistent customer orientation. Demand for sustainable products and services has been growing constantly. Private persons and businesses alike try to minimise their carbon footprint, and Österreichische Post helps them achieve just that. We also want to make sure that this initiative has a true environmental effect. We have brought TÜV AUSTRIA on board to receive independent audits.

We offer traineeships almost every year. These are tailored to the trainees' individual needs. On average, these traineeships last between 12 and 24 months and have been designed to unlock the potential of future executives for our company.

We are increasingly evolving into a diversified corporation with a strong focus on logistics and international activities.
